Impact Of Structural Flexibility On Flicker Of Dfig Wind Turbine

With the increasing unit capacity of large-scale wind turbine, blade and tower as the flexible components could have a significant influence on integration performance. Impact on the voltage fluctuation due to the structural flexibility is analyzed theoretically. And then a co-simulation platform is built based on an interface between different software, considering coupling of mechanical and electrical models. The electromechanical model with and without the consideration of bending modes of blade and tower can he obtained on this platform. By this way, the impact comparisons on flicker in different wind cases and short circuit capacities are performed. The co-simulation results show that structural flexibility could increase the flicker and the impact depends on the wind case and short circuit capacity. And the structural flexibility should be taken into account for integration performance study.
