Transcriptome-wide identification and characterization of resistant gene analogs (RGAs) of ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) and mango ginger (Curcuma amada Roxb.) under stress induced by pathogen

•Identification of RGAs in ginger and mango ginger using well-known R-genes as template against the ginger transcriptome database.•Classification of the identified genes based on the presence of the respective motifs and organization of conserved domains.•The data mining information generated expands our understanding of the possibledefense responses triggered in mango ginger and ginger in response to pathogens.
