摘要
In recent years, the power grid is facing more and more frequency stability challenges. In addition to traditional hydro-electric units and thermal power units, the grid requires more kinds of resources to participate in frequency emergency control, such as wind power, high-voltage direct current (HVDC), etc. The paper notes that the operation speed and cost of various resources are significantly different. If these differences are not considered, it will affect the economics and effectiveness of frequency regulation. This paper firstly analyzes the effect of different resources' operation speed on the frequency emergency control. Then, the control strategies for power grids with single and multiple kinds of resources are proposed, respectively. The strategy can accurately calculate the effective amount of active power removal of resources and control the peak frequency. In addition, the strategy considers the economy and operation speed of different resources to achieve the best effect of frequency emergency control. Finally, the simulation based on DigSilent demonstrates the validity of the proposed method.
