摘要
•The COREDIV code has been used to simulate impurity effects of the initial-designed CFETR baseline scenario.•W concentration in the core plasma is not allowed to be higher than 5 × 10−5 due to the large power radiation.•Kr seeding seems to be infeasible because of high contribution to the core radiation and high W sputtering yield.•Ne or Ar seeding can be used for the scenario under the condition of sufficiently high ne_sep and W re-deposition.
