Abstract
•VviWRKYs gene expression was modulated by high levels of CO2 in table grapes.•Changes in ACO1 gene expression correlated with VviWRKYs accumulation.•The positive correlation between PRs and VviWRKYs accumulation was tissue dependent.•VviWRKYIIa_3 and VviWRKYIII_3 recombinant proteins in vitro bind to the W-box of PRs promoters.
