摘要
•Synthesized bio-based polyesteramide polyol from algae oil and ricinoleic acid as renewable sources.•Silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (Ag-HAP NPs) were prepared by utilizing waste chicken egg-shells as third renewable component.•Development of antimicrobial and anticorrosive PU nanocomposite coatings using silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (Ag-HAP NPs).•Bio-based PU nanocomposite coatings showed good anticorrosive and antimicrobial properties.•In the case of prepared PU nanocomposite coatings, on increasing percentage of Ag-HAP NPs, coatings properties were enhanced.•Algae oil is clean and green source to replace petroleum sources.
