Optimization of the Lubricating Oil Control System of Large Capacity Synchronous Condenser for UHV Converter Station

Abstract
The lubricating oil system is an important auxiliary system of large capacity synchronous condensers for UHV converter station. Its configuration and control is related to the reliability of long-term safe operation of synchronous condensers. First, the causes of abnormal tripping faults in the switching process of the AC lubricating oil pump is analyzed. The optimization measures based on the original lubricating oil control system are proposed, such as increasing the interlocking of the AC lubricating oil pump hard circuit, modifying the execution sequence of the logical configuration of the distributed control system, in order to shorten the starting time of the standby AC lubricating oil pump. Finally, the static and dynamic test results show that the proposed optimization measures are effective, and the establishment speed of lubricating oil pressure in the process of AC lubricating oil pumps' switching is increased.
