Abstract
Five diiron ethanedithiolate complexes [Fe2(CO)5(L){μ-SCH2CH(CH2O2CCH3)S}] (L = P(2-C4H3O)3, 2; P(2-C4H3S)3, 3; P(4-C6H4F)3, 4; P(4-C6H4Cl)3, 5; Ph2PC6H11, 6) containing acetate ester and phosphine ligands were prepared by CO substitution. The complexes 2–6 have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectra, as well as by X-ray crystallography. Moreover, the electrochemical properties were also studied.
