Abstract
This paper presents the design of a Ka-band RF frontend tailored to digital beam forming. It consists of an antenna array realised in LTCC, which is connected to a soft substrate PCB containing the active components. The topology is suitable for various implementations of beamforming systems for applications, such as 5G mm-wave systems, IoT, and SatCom.
