Abstract
The superconducting magnet feeder system that been designed and manufactured entirely by the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP), is used to transmit electrical current, liquid helium and instrumentation cables to the magnet coils. The Cryogenic Feedthrough (CFT) is a part of the ITER feeder system which is positioned between the In-Cryostat-Feeder (ICF) and Coil Terminal Box (CTB), accommodates and relays all the above services for the operation of a superconducting magnet. The first PF4 CFT has been built and cold tested in July 2017 at ASIPP, which has been shipped to ITER site in France, it is also the first superconducting component ready for tests for ITER Magnet system. This paper will describe the cold test of the CFT at ASIPP.
