Putting electric vehicles on the map: A policy agenda for residential charging infrastructure in Canada

•Uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) requires adequate home charging infrastructure.•Installing such infrastructure in Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs) is challenging.•We use decision-making flow diagrams to map problem domains and stakeholder relationships within MURBs in Canada.•We identify four problem domains: charging infrastructure installation, building limitations, governance issues and parking availability.•Our analysis can be used to inform policy interventions to encourage EV adoption in residential settings.
