Abstract
Product and process optimization has been enhanced by simulation in the course of digitalization. In PV industry this is done from wafer to complete module systems to obtain quality, reliability and sustainability. Within this work one of the key production steps - the (induction) soldering process -is represented digitally by multiphysical simulation. It is a crucial point due to its importance and influence on future PV modules performance, yield and value, respectively. Each soldering point has to ensure mechanical durability to guarantee electrical conductance during the modules lifetime prediction of 25 years and more.
