Dihydrogen-bonding deep eutectic solvents as reaction media for lipase-catalyzed transesterification

•Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) were successfully used as reaction media for lipase.•Solvent parameters of various DESs were investigated to understand the properties of DESs.•The stability of lipase increased with an increase in polarity and acidity of the DESs.•The properties of dihydrogen-bonding DESs could be fine-tuned for biocatalysis.
