Abstract
•Softening and ethylene production were characteristic of raspberry ripening.•Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA)-amido synthetase (RiGH3.5) is primarily expressed in flowers.•RiGH3.1 transcript was highly expressed before onset of raspberry ripening.•Conversely to RiGH3.5 transcript, RiGH3.1 was over-expressed in IAA-treated fruit.
