First multi-color photometric investigation of the shortest-period semi-detached binary SWASPJ222302.02+195031.8

•The first multi-color CCD light curves of J2223 are presented and the photometric solutions are obtained preliminary.•It’s a semi-detached binary with a lobe filling secondary with the shortest-period semi-detached binary.•There are no mass transfers between the two components since the orbital period of the binary is not variable.•The formation and evolutionary state of the binary is not similar to normal Algols.
