Abstract
The paper presents the experimental results of harmonics measurements in example ship microgrid containing varying nonlinear load, namely high power adjustable speed drive of bow thruster. The research concentrates on voltage harmonics variations caused by the drive load changes from zero up to full load. The aim is to determine local minima (if present) of the respective harmonics for the future algorithms of power quality control. The idea of such an algorithm based on control of nonlinear loads is also presented.
