Abstract
This paper aims to represent the experimental investigation of spray pattern in swirl injector. For this purpose, an experimental setup is fabricated and spray pattern investigation is carried out. In swirl atomizer, chemical injection is through tangential ports and swirling motion is achieved by centrifugal force. The liquid is discharged through a small outlet orifice to form a spray (liquid droplets). The objective of this work is to report on the effect of inlets slots number and its size on flow pattern and spray cone angle for the given atomizer. Water is utilized as working medium, operating pressure and value timings are identical between two successive cold flow running of the atomizer.
