The article contains extensive excerpts from the analysis of social capital prepared for Mayor of Lubsko. The author also outlines the concept of intercultural education addressed to the small town community. The author’s aim is to initiate discussions on forms of cooperation between representatives of local government and the academic community in the field of design and implementation of intercultural education. This document contains suggestions for actions by city authorities, self-government institutions, social organizations and non-governmental organizations on the basis of intergenerational cooperation.
