•Metabolic profiling and pharmacological properties of Amelanchier parviflora var. dentata was investigated.•Antioxidant effects were evaluated by different assays.•Enzyme inhibitory properties were tested against key enzymes.•HPLC–MS/MS analysis revealed the presence of phenolic acids and flavonols.•The plant may be explored to design novel phytopharmaceuticals.
