Abstract
•α-Al2O3/Ag-35.2Cu-5.4Ti/SS430 brazed joints were immersed into liquid Na at 350 °C.•Ag was selectively dissolved into liquid Na leaving a porous Cu-Ti-rich structure.•Its dealloying kinetics obeys the linear rate law up to 36 h.•Ag dissolution is the rate-limiting step when outward transport of Ag is rapid.•Fracture strength in the dealloyed region was determined as negligibly small.
