Business games: a motivational strategy in teaching and learning the organizational theory Jogos de empresas: uma estratégia de motivação no processo de ensino e aprendizagem na teoria das organizações

The organizational theory has been developed and being enriched by the growing diversity of epistemological views, including the Institutional Approach. However, the absorptive capacity of knowledge has undergone a considerable lag in relation to the demands of the labor market. This study aims to analyze the application of the business games methodology as a complementary strategy in the teaching and learning, given the framework of the Institutional Approach, character interpretation. The research was based on a survey of two classes of graduate courses in administration, where one of them was applied in a business game and the other does not. Using qualitative and quantitative analysis, we concluded that the business games can be a very useful methodology in the reality simulation in assessing the performance and contribute in the teaching of various streams of organization theory.A teoria das organizações vem se desenvolvendo e sendo enriquecida pela crescente diversidade de correntes epistemológicas, entre elas a Abordagem Institucional. No entanto, a capacidade de absorção do conhecimento vem sofrendo uma defasagem considerável em relação às demandas do mercado de trabalho. O presente estudo tem o objetivo de analisar a aplicação da metodologia de Jogos de Negócios como estratégia complementar no processo de ensino/aprendizagem, tendo em vista o marco da Abordagem Institucional, de caráter interpretativo. A pesquisa foi realizada com base em um levantamento de dados a respeito de duas turmas do curso de graduação em Administração, sendo que em uma delas foi aplicado um jogo de negócios e, na outra, não. Utilizando-se de análise qualitativa e quantitativa, foi possível concluir que os jogos de negócios podem ser uma metodologia muito útil na simulação da realidade, na avaliação do desempenho e no auxílio do ensino das diversas correntes da teoria das organizações.
