Effect of surface electrical charge on microbubbles’ terminal velocity and gas holdup
Minerals Engineering(2018)
Abstract
•It is studied the effect of the electrical charge of microbubbles on their terminal velocity.•It was found that electrical charge affects the boundary layer thickness of water.•When determinant potential ions have the opposite charge to the counterions boundary layer thickness increases.•Frother adsorption decreases the bubble terminal velocity.
