Abstract
±800kV UHV (Ultra high voltage) DC lines have been widely put into operation in China. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the ±800kV UHV DC transmission lines live working, researches should focus on the live working personnel safety protection. In this paper, firstly the method of simulation and field measurement are used to obtain the electric field intensity distribution outside body on different typical live working locations. Secondly, on the basis of the modeling and simulation analysis, the potential transfer pulse current is measured by simulating human test. The simulation calculation and experimental measurement data show that during live working the electric field intensity distribution characteristic parameter outside body on ± 800kV UHV DC lines is much small than on 1000kV UHV AC lines, and the maximum pulse current amplitude of potential transfer on ± 800kV UHV DC lines is much lower than on 1000kV UHV AC lines. So, to determine ±800kV UHV DC lines live working protection equipment and main technical parameters, it is appropriate to refer to the safety protection standard for live working of 1000kV UHV AC lines.
