Abstract
Aortic dissection is a fatal cardiovascular emergency that aortic media and intimal layer is separated, which requires rapid diagnosis and treatment. The electrocardiogram to detect the cause of chest pain in the emergency department may demonstrate an acute myocardial infarction. The importance of transthoracic echocardiography and multidetector computed tomography for rapid and differential diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction is great. In this article, we present a 83 years old female addmitted to emergency department with chest pain, acute inferior myocardial infarction findings on electrocardiography, but we suspect aortic dissection by transthoracic echocardiography and confirmed the diagnosis with multidetector computed tomography.
