摘要

•A novel Cr/CrC multilayer was synthesized on γ-TiAl alloy by DGP technology.•The bond between coating and substrate was a metallurgical and diffusive one.•The friction coefficients of multilayer were about only 22.2% of the substrate.•The multilayer successfully improved the oxidation resistance of γ-TiAl alloy.
