Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common type of neurodegenerative disease. There is also a group of diseases called Parkinson’s syndromes that cause symptoms similar to those of PD. It is particularly difficult to differentiate between PD and dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB).
