Abstract
Caring for a loved one after implantation of LVAD or TAH-t device for the treatment of stage D end stage heart failure can present both a personal and physical strain for caregivers. While sometimes exhausting, caregivers may also derive benefit in helping loved ones with chronic illness. Few investigations have explored caregiver gender burden in the context of benefit.
