Analysis results of the enhanced heat flux first wall panel elements

•In order to provide protection of technological slot on the frontal side of the FW panel, a CSI design has been integrated into the FW structure.•Steady-state thermal analysis of the CSI has been performed for Inductive I operation mode.•A maximum temperature of 207°C is reached in the beryllium coating.•Structural analysis of the CSI has been performed for 5 loading scenarios.•The maximum equivalent stress is 516,3MPa and is reached during “burn” phase in pipe bending zone.
