Abstract
•We have fabricated pump and signal power combiner in (5+1)×1 configuration with high signal transmission efficiency.•Feed-through signal fiber with reduced clad diameter (9/80μm) in comparison to MMF (105/125μm) was used.•More than 90% of signal transmission efficiency was achieved using single-direction tapering method and 9/80μm SMF.
