摘要

•Ultrathin dense Pd membrane supported on PBI–HFA was developed for H2 separation.•The Pd-deposited PBI–HFA composite membrane was superior for hydrogen separation.•Improved αH2/CO2 permselectivity was observed for the final Pd/PBI–HFA membrane.•Pd films fabricated by two times activation were impermeable to CO.
