摘要
On page 7067, A. Nesterov-Mueller and co-workers present a method for the selective functionalization of microcavities with a density of up to 1 million microcavities per cm2 using two different transfer strategies. Polymer microparticles with embedded pre-activated monomers are selectively transferred into microcavities with laser radiation. Using Merrifield's solid phase synthesis, these monomers can be attached to the chemically modified surface. The system is very promising for high-throughput analysis in biomedical research.
