摘要
The growth of tree species is often limited by nutritional restrictions. With the purpose of to evaluate the initial growth of Eucalyptus grandis Hill ex Maiden and Toona ciliata M. Roem var. australis with the removal of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, an experiment was conducted in UFSM, campus Frederico Westphalen. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications in a factorial 2 x 4, two tree species (E. grandis and T. ciliata) and four types of fertilizer (NPK, PK, NK and NP). 50 kg ha(-1) N, 100 kg ha(-1) P2O5 and 45 kg ha(-1) of K2O were applied. The seedlings of forest species were planted in the field on november 1, 2013, manually consortium, spaced 1 x 1 m. The total area of the plot was 25 m (2), with 12 plants of E. grandis and 13 of T. ciliata plants. During 325, in different periods, were evaluated plant height, crown diameter, diameter at breast height and the concentration of N, P and K leaf tissue. The results were submitted to analysis of variance at 5% probability of error and means compared by Tukey test and orthogonal contrast. The answers to fertilization was similar to the growth parameters in the two forest species (p <= 0,05). In the absence of nitrogen, there was reduced plant height, crown diameter and diameter at breast height. The removal of phosphorus and potassium did not affect the growth parameters of the two forest species.
