Abstract
A tubular conduit composed of radially aligned electrospun fibers with gradient is transplanted into the gap of the transected spinal cord. The endogenous neural stem cells in the two ends of spinal cord sense the gradient, and migrate toward the lesion site. This class of gradient scaffolds, presented by J. Dai and co-workers on page 5009, can potentially be employed for nerve regeneration guidance.
