摘要

•Corrosion-resistant hybrid coatings based on GO–ZrO2/EP system were fabricated via a facile approach.•Inclusion of GO–ZrO2 into EP achieved a homogeneous dispersion and exfoliation.•GO–ZrO2/EP system effectively prevented the underlying metals from corrosion attack.•The corrosion-resistant mechanisms of GO–ZrO2/EP system were proposed.
