Continuidad y sustitución clientelar durante la Segunda República desde una perspectiva a largo plazo. El caso de Almoradí (Alicante)

The profusion of studies on the continuation or substitution of the patronage networks from the Restoration in the Spanish II Republic have come to different conclusions about the democratization brought by the regime of 1931. Most of these studies focus on an institutional perspective. This article proposes a new methodology prioritizing the long-term vision and the analysis of both institutional and economic aspects in order to measure the «social change» and the resulting republican democratization.
