Abstract
We demonstrate an ultra-broadband OPA centered at similar to 6.5-mu m, pumped by a 2.1-mu m, 1 kHz, OPCPA, with an octave-spanning idler bandwidth spanning 4.5-9.0-mu m. Interferometric autocorrelations confirm compressed 1.5-optical-cycle cycle pulses with mu J energies.
