Abstract
Objective To explore the MRI image manifestations of breast diseases presented as non-mass like enhancement( NMLE). Methods 54 cases presented as NMLE lesions which confirmed by pathological examination were analyzed retrospectively. All the pathologic results and imaging features were assessed accordingly. Results Among the 54 cases of NMLE,19 cases were malignant tumors and 35 cases were benign masses. The morphological features and MRI signal characteristics of these lesions are not in accordance with those in non-enhanced MRI scan. After injecting the contrast agent, some lesions showed different tissue enhancement modes. In malignant group,9 /19 cases showed segmental and regional inhomogeneous enhancement which accounting for 47. 3%; while in benign group, assess with focal net-like or point clusters homogeneous enhancement accounted for 28. 6%( 10 /35). The sensitivity and specificity of MR diagnostic is 90. 7% and 61. 4% respectively. Conclusions MRI examination is of great value in NMLE diagnosis in female breast diseases, combination of morphological characteristics and DWI are helpful in differential diagnosis.
