Abstract
An optimal catalytic digestion system for rapid determination of chemical oxygen demand(COD) was studied by orthogonal experiments. With the combined catalysts of CuSO 4, KAl(SO 4) 2 and Na 2MoO 4 in H 2SO 4 H 3PO 4 solution, the period of heating circumfluence was greatly curtailed and the cost of the determination was decreased. The relative standard deviation and recovery of such system are 1.1% and 97.7%～103.3%, respecitively.
