Avaliação de impactos da utilização do Kit Embrapa de Ordenha Manual® para caprinos leiteiros

Assessment of environmental and social impacts is important after introducing technological innovations in order to evaluate its long-term use. This study evaluates social and environmental impacts, through Ambitec System, after using Embrapa Kit for manual milking (Kit Embrapa de Ordenha Manual (R)) on dairy goats in family production units located in Afonso Bezerra (RN) and Quixada (CE). Initially, a survey through semi-structured interviews was done to characterize the production systems. After embracing the kit, assessments were developed using the methodology of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment System on Agricultural Technological Innovations (Ambitec-Animal and Social Production). In Animal Production module, the greatest environmental impacts were the decreased use of inputs and improving the welfare of animals. In the social module, the largest impacts were on training and income generation in properties located in Quixada and in property value, dedication and responsibility profile properties in Afonso Bezerra. The use of the Embrapa Kit for manual milking enabled the production of greater safety and quality food, and the decrease in inputs use, which includes veterinary medicines. We conclude that Embrapa Kit for manual milking (R) on dairy goats is a technology generating positive environmental and social impacts, with potential use in family dairy goat.
