EnglishWithin transactional approaches (Sameroff, 2009), psychological development is viewed as influenced by continuous transactions between the changing characteristics of the child and the changing experiences that his/her environment offers the opportunity to live. This article considers some of the implications of this framework with regard to (a) the necessary complexity of theoretical models of development, (b) the understanding of psychological disorders usually diagnosed during the childhood period, (c) prevention and intervention perspectives. francaisUne conception transactionnelle (Sameroff, 2009) envisage que le developpement psychologique est influence par des transactions continues entre les caracteristiques changeantes de lu0027enfant et celles des experiences que son environnement lui offre lu0027opportunite de vivre. Cet article envisage quelques-unes des implications de cette approche concernant (a) la necessaire complexite des modeles theoriques du developpement, (b) la comprehension des troubles psychologiques habituellement diagnostiques durant la periode de lu0027enfance, (c) les perspectives de prevention, du0027accompagnement et de prises en charge.
