Sonochemical time standardization for bioactive materials used in periimplantar defects filling.

•The homogenization and functionalization of biomaterials can be done by sonochemistry.•There is little decrease in Biogran® particle size during sonochemistry.•Physical/chemical properties of the Biogran can’t be de-characterized by sonochemistry.•The best Biogran® sonochemistry timing for periimplantar defect is 15 min.•The functions of Biogran (osteoconduction) are maintained after sonochemistry.
