Novel pH-sensitive interpenetrated network polyspheres of polyacrylamide-g-locust bean gum and sodium alginate for intestinal targeting of ketoprofen: In vitro and in vivo evaluation.

•pH-sensitive PAAm-g-LBG was synthesized by microwave-assisted method.•IPN polyspheres of PAAm-g-LBG and SA were developed for intestinal targeting of ketoprofen.•The IPN polyspheres demonstrated excellent pH-sensitivity.•IPN polyspheres showed larger drug release in alkaline medium than the acidic medium.•The in-vivo studies confirmed pH-sensitive controlled release of ketoprofen.
