Powell-based Cuckoo Search Algorithm

In order to solve the problems of Cuckoo Search (Cuckoo Search, CS), including slow convergence rate, aptness to get into local optimum and so on, a new solution, namely, the mixed algorithm which combines Powell method and Cuckoo Search algorithm (Powell Cuckoo Search, PCS) is proposed. By organically integrating Cuckoo Searchs global searching ability and Powell methods local optimizing ability, PCS algorithm realizes the aim of solving nonlinear equation system effectively. Experiment results show that PCS algorithm owns relatively high computational accuracy as well as relatively fast convergence rate.
