•The heterogeneous nonlinear dynamical networks with sampled-data, quantization, and input saturation is investigated.•The sufficient conditions of quasi-synchronization are derived via the Lyapunov functional approach.•An effective design for the feedback gain is presented.•The upper bound of quasi-synchronization errors is derived.
