Abstract
•Caddisfly Stenopsyche marmorata larvae were exposed to hypoxia–normoxia shift.•Overwintering larvae at 14 °C (Exp.1) and non-wintering at 20 °C (Exp.2) were tested.•Hypoxia–normoxia shift decreased antioxidants and energy reserves in Exp.1.•Hypoxia–normoxia shift had no effect on LPO in Exp.1.•The same shift in Exp.2 had little effect on oxidative stress response.
