Effects of Bauhinia forficata on glycaemia, lipid profile, hepatic glycogen content and oxidative stress in rats exposed to Bisphenol A.

•Elevation in glycemia after Bisphenol A exposure is related to hepatic glycogen storage capacity.•B. forficata reduces hepatic oxidative stress which may be associated to its inherent free-radical scavenger capacity.•The association of BPA and B. forficata leads to dyslipidemia thereby suggesting caution with herbal intake.
