Hysteresis of retention and enantioselectivity on amylose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) chiral stationary phases in mixtures of 2-propanol and methanol.

•History of the eluent composition drastically changed enantioselectivity.•Either of the hysteretic pair of selector states was easily regenerated.•Multiple unique selectivities were available with MeOH and IPA on ADMPC.•Different mechanisms were proven by van’t Hoff plots and elution order reversal.•All the examined coated and immobilized ADMPC selectors were hysteretic.
