Tu1069 OUTCOMES OF ENDOSCOPIC RETROGRADE CHOLANGIOPANCREATOGRAPHY IN A PREDOMINANTLY BLACK URBAN POPULATION
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(2018)
Abstract
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has an overall complication rate of 6.9% to 12%. The most common complication is post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP), which is reported to occur in 3% to 10% of patients. There is a paucity of literature on post-ERCP complications in the African-American and Afro-Caribbean population that comprises greater than 80% of our patient population. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of post-ERCP complications in our population.
