Properties of up-conversion luminescence of Yb3+/Tm3+/Ho3+ Co-doped oxy-fluoride glass

Yb3+/Tm3+/Ho3+ Co-doped fluoride silicate glass is prepared, and the excitation spectra of the glass is tested. Under excitation of 980 nm LD, the up-conversion fluorescence of blue light, green light and red light can be obtained within Yb3+/Tm3+/Ho3+ Co-doped fluoride silicate glass. It can be found that the blue light appeared in 479nm mainly results from: Tm3+:(1)G(4)(3)H(6), and Ho3+: (F-5(3), K-3(8)) I-5(8) transition interaction. The green light appeared in 545nm mainly results from: Ho3+:(S2I8)-S-5-I-5 transition interaction. And in the same way red light in 656 nm is mainly due to Tm3+:(1)G(4)(3)F(4), Ho3+:(F5I8)-F-5-I-5 transition interaction. The fluorescence intensity of the samples with different doping concentration found that best doping concentration on Ho3+ and Tm3+ is 0.1mol%.
