Abstract

Purulent pericarditis (PP) is a rare, often fatal condition. We present a case of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) PP in a patient with history of intravenous drug use (IVDU).A 25-year old woman with a history of IVDU presented with fevers, chills, and a productive cough.
